The New York Times sponsored and invited Jasmin to host a summer book party at the New York City Lacoste store on Madison Avenue. Jasmin was invited to host a book event with Muhtar Kent, the Chairman and CEO of Coca-Cola, and Andrea Illy of Illy Issimo Caffe, at the Rizzoli bookstore. She hosted a student dinner for her alma mater, the University of Pennsylvania’s Department of English, at White Dog in Philadelphia.
She’s also participated in benefits including Authors Night for the East Hampton Library (summer 2009 and 2010, with authors Candace Bushnell, Jay McInerney, and Alec Baldwin), VH1 Save the Music Foundation, OCRFA’s Super Saturday, and a Shawn Warren Jewelry event to benefit the Cardiovascular Research Foundation. She spearheaded both a Hurricane Sandy fundraiser for the Brooklyn Recovery Fund and a Los Angeles Holiday Happy Hour for the Pajama Program, which provides books and pajamas to children around the country who are in need.
Her book parties in New York, the Hamptons, and Los Angeles drew media, influencers, and actors/ personalities including “Sex and the City’s” John Corbett, “The Sopranos’” Jamie-Lynn Sigler, “Living Lohan’s” Dina Lohan, “The Gastineau Girls’” Brittny Gastineau, “The Voice’s” Chris Mann, and cast members of Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of New York City.”
